Who is Reading?!

It’s been quite a few weeks since I last wrote. The simple reason for this is that I just haven’t had much to write about! Don’t get me wrong, we have been busy enough but aside from the small matter of my Birthday, nothing unusual to daily life! But then that got me thinking. The majority of my blogs are really only about my daily life, or my holidays. My blog doesn’t follow a specific theme, which would no doubt attract those interested in my specific subject. My blog is really a bit random!

So who is it that reads it? I can see from my stats that it isn’t just family and friends humouring me! I do have followers that I do not know and hits from many countries across the world. They don’t know me personally and so I have no idea what attracts them and keeps them following. I am very glad that they do but it does make me wonder who they are, what they do and where they live etc! My husband has always said that I am nosy – I disagree. I believe that I am naturally curious. I regularly pick up “friends” as I go about my daily life. I like to strike up conversations with people when out an about. I often end up keeping in touch and becoming friends with these people. I like to sit and people watch, admire babies in pushchairs and say hello to dogs out on their walks. It has been known for my husband to specifically ask me if we can go somewhere without me making a “friend!” But, I doubt that I will ever change.

So whoever you are reading, and wherever you are – thank you! I am glad that you are keeping interested enough to keep reading – because whilst you do – I will keep on writing!! 🙂

You and I are quite similar Kelly! We both write blogs and both seem to think our lives are not that exciting and so don’t blog often but then when we do write one we get some lovely comments from people. Like you, I have had lots of encouragement from the Red Queen, who’s blogs are just amazing and make me want to be as good as she is but then I don’t live in a lovely place like Tenerife, just a suburb of London LOL!

I have been meaning to update my blog since our latest grandchild was born and have actually started a draft which I’ve amended so much the latest draft bears no resemblence to the first LOL! I think that blogging is just another word for diary and some days we do an awful lot and others we just do nothing at all but someone else out there may well find that the life that we have is more exciting than theirs. I certainly think Red Queen has a wonderful life and she always makes me feel like I’m there with her!

So, I’m going to make sure that I finish my draft this week and post it up and it will definitely be about my ordinary, not very exciting life but maybe, just maybe, someone may get some pleasure from it, like I just got a lot of pleasure from reading yours.

    Keep Blogging!!!

    • Thank you! I look forward to reading your update! It seems that I live not far from you also! It’s a small world. Hope your new grandchild is doing well and thank you for the lovely comment xxx

Lol so me as well……so live this post.

  3. Ladies, I am also amazed at the number of people who read my blog and I feel absolutely thrilled when they take the time to comment. As you both know I ‘rabbit’ a lot about anything and everything. It was hard at first because I tried to analyse what readers might like. Now I just write about what I LIKE and find interesting and that seems to work. People like to hear about our everyday lives, if it becomes too slick, too engineered, it either doesn´t ring true or sounds as if it has been knocked out for some monetary benefit so they might just as well go to a library and pick up a book (gosh that gives my age away!!) We may not be as professional as a lot of bloggers but what we talk about is REAL so keep up the great work xxx
